N12 covered the rise of dedicated AI leadership roles in Israeli tech and quoted me, as Cycode’s VP of AI & ML, on what the job involves: leading the move from an AppSec platform that hands security teams tools to one where AI agents carry a growing share of the work for them.

Security teams still define the policy and the boundaries. What changes is the middle of the process. Analysts have been sifting thousands of findings, working out which ones genuinely matter, then chasing development teams to confirm they were handled. Agents can check whether a weakness is actually exploitable, prioritize it accordingly, and in the right cases produce the fix and open it for review.
